The Zirconia Sharpener is a modern day interpretation of the writing accessory put together by Chengtao Yi and Bryan Wong that incorporates the utensil sharpener's body and the blade into one seamless design. In other words, the sharpener's shape is also the cutting surface, allowing for a break-proof design that remains fully functional and sharp for years to come.
While sharpeners are necessities when it comes to writing utensils such as pencils or crayons, they can often break due to pressure and a two-part design. The Zirconia Sharpener eliminates the need for blade replacement or cheap make with a design made from ceramic. The device features the blade incorporated into the shape, with a design that is resistant to cracking and dulling.
