Vestre Focuses on Aesthetics and Practicality

— June 18, 2025 — Art & Design
Vestre's participation in 3daysofdesign presents a compelling exploration of how urban furniture can foster inclusivity, sustainability, and community engagement. The Norwegian manufacturer transforms Copenhagen's Opera Park into an interactive showcase through a collaboration with Swedish design studio Note and German landscape architect Nikolai Soyka. The showcase seeks to demonstrate the social potential of public design and urban furniture.

Divided into four thematic zones, the installation thoughtfully addresses different facets of public life — the Unity Zone, the Relaxation Zone, the Arena Zone, and the Belonging Zone. The centerpiece of Vestre's 3daysofdesign exhibition is the newly launched UNITY series, which reimagines modular seating as adaptable platforms for both human interaction and green integration. The latter is embodied through plant-filled modules that underscore the design studio's commitment to biophilic urbanism.
