Upcycled Delivery Bikes

Deliveroo's Upcycled Bike is Made with Unused Kitchen Tools

There are plenty of upcycled bike designs that have been created over the years, but none of them are quite as unique as this one from food delivery company Deliveroo.

After finding out that the average household contains about 34 unused kitchen tools, Deliveroo set out to put these items to good use in the 'Upcycle Bike,' designed in collaboration with engineer Sean Miles from Design Works. Some of the quirky components of the Deliveroo Upcycled Bike include rolling pin handle bars, whisks as spokes, potato masher pedals and a meat thermometer speedometer.

Rather than just being a showpiece, the Upcycle Bike was created as a fully functional way to get around the city and has been used to make deliveries in the same way that other bikes do for the takeaway service.
