Community Voices Installation

Unheard Voices Pavilion Spotlights Labor of London’s Night Workers

The Unheard Voices pavilion, created by POoR Collective and Wiggle Wonderland, sheds light on the city’s essential night-shift workers—hospital staff, cleaners, market traders, hospitality crews—whose contributions often go unnoticed. Commissioned for the London Festival of Architecture and co-designed with workers through workshops, the pavilion amplifies personal stories, reflections, and drawings gathered directly from participants

It is made up of two open-air, communal pavilions. The installation uses narrative art and architecture to make unseen labor visible. Quotes and illustrations from workshop participants are integrated into the design, fostering connection and empathy through shared experience. With free public events and accessible placement within the Culture Mile district, Unheard Voices acts not only as public art but as a civic platform—elevating resilience and dignity through participatory design, compassion, and recognition of unseen labor.
