Street artist JR continued his UNFRAMED exhibition while he was in the German town of Baden-Baden. JR visited local residents and gathered archival photos that he then amplified and pasted around the city. The impactful photos are showcased throughout the town exploring the city's own heritage and its links with France during World War II.
The TED award-winning street artist stayed true to his style with this latest collection. The photos were posted on billboards, houses, city blocks and other large visible spaces. The black and white photographs have images of children, soldiers and athletes, among other things.
The UNFRAMED exhibition reminds the city of its past -- the good and the bad. The exhibition is a beautiful way to depict nostalgic images that would have otherwise gone unseen by the public.
