This genius umbrella design is the perfect solution to overturned umbrellas due to windy days. It is also perfect for the forgetful types who always end up leaving this essential accessory behind because it never fits in jackets or handbags.
Designed by Royal College of Art graduate Ayca Dundar, the umbrella design is unique because it literally redesigns the foundations of the umbrella. The new design is made-up of a pop-up canopy with six parts -- to make sure it doesn't break when blown inside out like typical umbrellas.
Normal designs for umbrellas have a structure which make them fragile and so when strong winds come your way it is almost guaranteed the rigid structure turns inside out. The 'Drop Umbrella' however is more flexible which lets umbrellas go back to their natural state easily and without breaking.
