Junwoo Lim Designs the RAINDROP Planter and Umbrella Stand

— March 22, 2025 — Art & Design
Designer Junwoo Lim created the RAINDROP, which is both a planter and an umbrella stand. The main design element is the sustainable ethos that the RAINDROP is rooted in. It is a creative way to promote better actions as an umbrella is necessary for all and it uses the Unexpected Red theory.

This is when a pop of red is integrated to elevate a space -- complete with a matte finish, the stand provides a bold tonal contrast to the greenery of the plants. RAINDROP is the perfect addition to a community center or a public space to engage in conversation. The hangers at the top hold the umbrellas in place and the rainwater drips down to the plants.
