Social media can be amusing, but to it make even more so, mobile phone manufacturer Huawei created the Twitter Fantasy League. Through gamification, users are able to choose teams of up to 100 influencers, buy, sell and switch them to the bench. Scoring happens every time member on your team is retweeted, favorited, or gains a new follower. Alternatively, the #HuaweiTwitterLiiga tag can be used to rack up the points. As for some of the op Finnish influencers that can be added, there's the Prime Minister of Finland Alexander Stubb, Formula 1 drivers and members from international stunt groups.
With this stunt, Twitter becomes even more of a popularity contest. This interactive marketing campaign was set up in order to coincide with the launch of the Ascend Mate7 smartphone.
