Most lighting fixtures are content merely to provide some kind of illumination, but the Twitter Ball by Sarah Turner is far more ambitious in its capabilities, composition, and aspirations.
Made almost entirely from recycled plastic bottles and LED lights, the Twitter Ball by Sarah Turner is a brightly colored sphere that lights up in a variety of vivid colors. In addition to being made out of recycled materials, the lighting fixture is also eco-conscious via Twitter as well. When on display, each of the Twitter Ball's LEDs light up a different color whenever an eco-conscious word such as 'Ocean' or 'recycling' is tweeted online. The result is a dazzling visual display that goes a long way towards communicating a very important message.
