Minimalist Upcycled Aluminum Furniture

Emeco Launched the Truss Furniture Collection

The Truss furniture collection was designed by Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec for Emeco. The designers underwent much research to create their simplistic collection, which is made using recycled aluminum and marine-grade Douglas Fir plywood. Inspired by an architectural truss system, the collection features tables, sofas, and benches.

Each piece boasts a timeless and utilitarian design that remains unique. According to Gregg Buchbinder, Emeco's CEO, "it takes a lot of work to make something simple. You must truly understand all the elements and the challenges of the materials to come up with an elegant solution." The designers used geometric forms to inform the collection and create useful and visually appealing pieces. To remain elegant, the pieces only incorporate essential design elements.
