Phygital Thai Coffee Flagships

True Coffee Opens Flagship Store in Bangkok with Robot Barista

Popular Thai coffee chain True Coffee has officially launched its first flagship store in Bangkok. The new store boasts a minimalist design concept and a one-of-kind in-store experience -- customers will have the opportunity to have their coffee orders made by Thailand's first robot barista named ‘Nong Pui Fai.'

In addition, the flagship concept includes other "phygital" elements. For example, for a no-contact experience shoppers can place their orders via True Coffee's mobile app, and while in the store will be given the option to keep their coffee hot by using an IoT-powered mug.

The new store will also offer an expanded menu featuring exclusive food and beverage items including homemade French patisseries and ready-to-eat meals. As of right now, True Coffee has opened 120 stores throughout Thailand, with plans to continue expanding into 2020.
