Best Buy Hosts Late-Night Zelda Release Events

Best Buy is bringing midnight gaming launch events to nearly all its U.S. stores for the November 5 release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The special openings allow customers to collect pre-ordered games as soon as they become available, creating an in-store experience around the anticipated release.

Alongside the game, Best Buy will offer limited quantities of the Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2 console and matching Pro Controller. Customers can reserve copies through stores, the retailer's website, or its mobile app. My Best Buy Plus and Total members can also receive 10% back on qualifying pre-orders.

For Best Buy, the launch creates opportunities to attract gaming enthusiasts into physical stores while encouraging purchases of anniversary merchandise. Membership incentives may also strengthen customer loyalty, while flexible ordering and pickup options connect digital shopping with in-person retail experiences.
