The Triffic app is built on the Ardor blockchain and is powered by Jelurida. While its initial purpose was to entertain users by allowing them to collect virtual rewards, it has shifted gears during the COVID-19 health pandemic to help with response efforts. There is a new feature now that allows users to raise funds for the World Health Organization.
The Triffic app rewards users in cryptocurrency called GPS Tokens. In other words, the application recognizes people for moving about and discovering Reward Beacons. With the new feature, users can collect toilet rolls (a 0.5 GPS donation), hand sanitizers (a 1.0 GPS donation), face masks (a 2.0 GPS donation). The Triffic app will donate these tokens on the player's behalf. One can track the collective progress on the application's website.
