Virgin America has come to be known as a young and hip airline and continues to put this image forth with its newest travel filter for Snapchat.
The branded Snapchat geofilter is designed to put a frame around selfie photos that resembles a rounded airline window that also shows some of the soothing purple-hued lights that are used on the inside of the aircraft cabins. At the bottom of the image, there's text that reads "Wheels Up," with space for a Snapchat user to input their departure code. So far, the branded filter is available in the Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and John F. Kennedy in New York terminals.
Virgin America is now the first airline carrier to offer a branded geofilter on the ephemeral photo- and video-sharing app.
