42 Technology's Adaptable Carriage Makes the Most of Unsold Seats

One of the biggest problems with traditional train carriages is that not having every single seat filled means that a carrier will miss out on maximizing their earning potential. To remedy this, 42 Technology developed a flexible solution to this issue called the Adaptable Carriage.

With the Adaptable Carriage, train companies are able to reconfigure empty seats and tables to create ample space for more cargo. This project is one that was funded by the Rail Safety and Standards Board, which aims to reduce pollution from transportation. In terms of this adaptable design's environmental impact, it has the potential to significantly increase the efficiency in which goods are transported and people travel.

As it stands, the Adaptable Carriage is ready to be tested, with a setup that can be retrofitted to existing trains, or incorporated into the interiors of future train designs.
