Staged Traffic Jams

Maider Lopez Creates an Unlikely Scene in the Aralar Mountains

Maider López wanted to show a highly unlikely scenario in the Aralar Mountains. In 2005, López put out a call for anyone willing to create a traffic jam in this isolated location in the North of Spain. To everyone's amazement, 400 people responded and agreed that they would drive up to this reclusive area to get their vehicles stuck for the sake of art.

160 jammed vehicles later, Maider López's vision had been fulfilled and a clear message about automobile pollution had been made.
