As a cyclist, visibility is one of the most important concerns, especially for urban riders; the Torch Helmet ensures that they are visible from every angle. It achieves this by incorporating a total of 20 LED lights that almost wrap around the entire circumference of the helmet. The Torch Helmet's lights are large enough that they peak on either side for a more tasteful design.
Created by Nathan Wills, a student from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, the Torch Helmet is in the running for a James Dyson Award. An avid bicycle commuter himself, he was inspired to design the Torch Helmet for safety reasons. He decided to work with a classic shape so as to appeal to urban cyclists.
