A Canadian software development firm has developed a special service called ToneCheck, which checks the tone of your e-mails. The software works as an add-on to Microsoft's Outlook e-mail service.
ToneCheck works in the same way as a spellchecker; once installed, it scans the e-mail and indicates the tone of the messages. The program has eight different emotional ratings: affection, amusement, anger, sadness, fear, humiliation, enjoyment and contentment.
