The Toast Chair Has Been Designed to Deliver a Built-in Hug

 - Jan 22, 2014
The Toast Chair demonstrates a different approach to composing an upholstered armchair, and one that separates the backrests from the armrests. The components are of course joined, but they're made from separate pieces.

The seat and the rear support are stitched together with the same cuts of material; the forearm props are kept separate, yet connected together by a linking element that wraps around the back of the furnishing. It's as if the sitter and his seat are both receiving a warm hug. This lovely fuzzy feeling is further enforced with the choice of felt material for Odo Fioravanti's Casamania Toast Chair. The delightful piece comes in gentle neutral color schemes and the option of a richer burgundy.
