Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is working on a tire design that will be made from a shrub plant called Guayule that can be found in Mexico and the US. The plant can be sourced to make a bio-rubber tires that could put an end to the production and use of synthetic rubber in autos. Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is set to release the first Guayule bio-rubber tire in 2017.
