The 'How Did You Make This' Hand Stitched Fox time lapse clip shows the opposite of what hand stitching is known to be: an impossibly slow hobby exclusive to nursing home residents.
In this video, 10 hours of tedious stitching are compressed into around 2 minutes. A blank canvas is covered in hundreds of stitches to create, in thin cotton thread, a realistic-looking fox. Each stitch is planned to mirror the look of real fur, with tiny metallic gold eyes and an over-sized fluffy tail.
Instead of being another piece of embroidery mounted in a hoop for a country kitchen look, this piece is mounted on an art canvas for a more modern, less dowdy look that is sure to resonate with a more modern audience.
