This timber shed is traditional, minimalist and distraction-free. Standing tall in Lillehammer, Norway, the gabled design is particularly standard. However, the structure's purpose is far more captivating -- Oslo-based architect Jon Danielsen Aarhus builds this quaint timber shed for a recently retired couple who wanted a space to enjoy their hobbies and invite friends and family over to stay.
While the architect references traditional Norwegian barn structures in the two-storey building, the sizable and adorably red-accented windows give the timber shed a modern feel. Providing the owners with a space to paint, sculpt and practice botany, the design by Jon Danielsen Aarhus proves to be creativity-enhancing, calm and free from outside interferences.
