This holiday, Subway UK is serving up a unique sandwich called the Tiger Pig Sub.
For those unfamiliar with UK terminology, "pigs in a blanket" refers to sausages wrapped in bacon (unlike in the US, where "pigs in a blanket" refers to sausages wrapped in dough). Subway UK's new Tiger Pig Sub takes the classic holiday appetizer and turns it into a tasty sandwich.
To create the new sandwich, a bacon-wrapped pork sausage is served on special Tiger Bread, which is regular Subway bread that's been coated in rice paste prior to baking so that it forms a crisp crust on the outside that cracks and gives it a tiger-like look. The sandwich also includes veggies such as lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
