The Sensi Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat UP500W is a smart home device from Emerson that works alongside a free thermostat app in order to give homeowners greater control of their home environments.

The smart thermostat becomes naturally integrated into a home's network and can be controlled via smartphone and tablets that have the app. The kind of control that's given to a user is remarkable. With the UP500W, a user is able to create the exact interior conditions they enjoy to the degree. Plus, with remote control, users are able to set the home to warm or cool itself before they arrive for the purposes of increased comfort, health and reduced costs.

A big selling feature of the system is also its easy-to-install setup, which requires neither a technician nor a central hub. Sensi also now works with Amazon's Echo, meaning that voice commands can be used to set programming.
