The Tesla Model X could be the catalyst for a wave of all-electric SUVs and CUVs. Tesla's latest model has five doors and three rows of seating. The Model X is designed to be fun for both families and young adults with its expansive seating and powerful electric engine.
The engine of the Tesla Model X can push the eco CUV from 0 to 60 in a mere 4.4 seconds. The CUV comes with a range of options, including an optional all-wheel drive transmission. The rear gull wing doors or, 'Falcon Wings,' as Tesla is calling them, come standard. The Model X has a base price of $50,000 that can be pushed all the way up to $80,000 with the inclusion of add-ons. Production of the Model X is slated to begin in 2014.
