Nintendo Announced its First Major Expansions for Pokemon S/V

Pokémon fans have a lot to look forward to this year, as Nintendo has announced two new expansions for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet titled 'The Teal Mask' and 'The Indigo Disk,' which are part of a larger story called 'The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.' This expansion will take players to new regions and introduce new Pokémon. The Teal Mask will launch in fall 2023 and will feature a mountainous area called Kitakami, where players will encounter the legendary Pokémon Ogerpon and three other mysterious creatures. The Indigo Disk will follow in winter 2023 and will focus on Blueberry Academy, a sister school of the main game’s setting. There, players will meet the sparkling legendary Pokémon Terapagos and uncover more secrets.
The expansions will also add more than 230 Pokémon that were not available in the base games, including some fan-favorites like Shiftry, Milotic, Ninetales, and Metagross. Some of these Pokémon can be obtained through Pokémon Home, which will be compatible with Scarlet and Violet in early 2023, or through special connectivity with Pokémon GO. Players who pre-purchase the expansions will receive new outfits and a special Hisuian Zoroark as bonuses. The expansions will cost $29.99 each and will require the base game to play. Alternatively, players can buy a bundle that includes both Pokémon Scarlet or Violet and the expansions for $89.99. The expansions are expected to offer hours of new content and challenges for Pokémon lovers of all ages.
