Barcelona-based design company CAVAA transformed an old and dark unit to create the Poblenou Apartment. The new unit has a private and quiet internal patio that provides a sanctuary from the busy streets of Poble Nou in Barcelona. The original space was a forgotten apartment in the center of the entire home, making it vital to the multi-unit living space.

The design team created a livable space by opening it up, adding high-end finishes and large windows. By replacing the main walls in the unit with windows, the apartment now has an open and modern feel. With a design that pairs features such as oak wood finish on the framing, floors and doors with a light color on the walls, the Poblenou Apartment has a rustic yet modern appeal.
