The NIO House is a Showroom for the Company's New Cars

Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects completed phase one of the NIO House, a new and unconventional showroom in Shanghai. The company is a global start-up based out of China that designs and develops high-performance and high-quality, autonomous and premium electric vehicles.

The architects worked closely with the company to create a space that reflects NIO's philosophy, which is centered around the environment, water, sun, earth and wind. By utilizing different materials, the NIO House is a space that gives consumers a sense of nature, home and the future. With its mirrors, large windows and unique floor plan, the space showcases the cars in a new and modern way.

The NIO House is just the first phase of a larger customer experience space designed by the company.
