The Loopy Chair is created with a single band of tubular steel, informed by the manufacturing processes of the tubular bike rack. Featuring twisted steel, this chair design is the first of a series of projects by designer Nikolas Bentel set to be released in the coming weeks.
Due to its manufacturing process and bike rack mimicry, the Loopy Chair is designed to withstand the elements. It is, therefore, suitable for outdoor and indoor use. Moreover, the chair comes with a suede leather seat for added comfort. The designer focused heavily on the manufacturing process. By repurposing a manufacturing process already in place –which is that of the bike rack – the Loopy Chair's construction eliminates the creation of excess equipment.
