When it comes down to it, one of the areas of one's life from which it's hardest to eliminate waste is hygiene, but the Bamboo Toothbrush from the aptly named Bamboo Brush Society makes it easier to get rid of plastic waste in the bathroom. The brush is nearly 100 percent biodegradable, and it still provides the dentist-approved cleanliness that's essential to oral hygiene.

The body of the Bamboo Toothbrush is completely biodegradable in both the kids size and the adult size. The bristle, however, are made from nylon, so they need to be removed for proper disposal. The reasoning behind nylon bristles is that the only reliable biodegradable material for bristles is currently pig hair. Thus, in the interest of keeping the brush vegan, the Bamboo Brush Society opted for nylon.
