Free-From Plant-Based Food Blends

This Planteneers Texturizing Blend is Methycellulose-Free

This new Planteneers texturizing blend has been developed by the plant-based ingredients brand as a free-from solution that responds to increasing calls for clean label meat alternatives. The ingredient blend is crafted with a methylcellulose-free formula and reported to offer an impressive bite when used in both hot and cold applications. The formula keeps methylcellulose out of the mix due to the complex chemical refinement process required to make it functional, but in turn turns it into a synthetic food additive.

Director of Technology and Innovation Dorotea Pein spoke on the new Planteneers texturizing blend saying, "With the rise of new, innovative plant-based proteins that can replicate the desired texture and bite without the need for such additives, there's a growing expectation for cleaner formulations. People want to feel good about what they're eating – not just nutritionally, but also emotionally and ethically – and that starts with recognising and trusting every ingredient on the label.”
