Freight vehicles are essential for shipping goods but are notorious for their emissions, so the Terra Truck has been developed as a solution for the industry that would enable an eco-friendly method of getting goods around.
The truck is characterized as being a 7.5-tonne vehicle that is built on a reliable electric powertrain and is capable of accommodating 16 euro pallets of cargo that weighs more than two-tonnes. The vehicle would be able to offer up to 160-miles of range per charge with a full load and is currently being tested with technology that would enable the battery to be back up to 100% in just one-hour.
The Terra Truck was spoken on further by Founder and CEO Asher Bennett who said, "Technology is transforming the commercial vehicle sector at pace, making it safer, greener, and entirely more efficient. But meaningful change is a gradual process, it must happen one step at a time, even if those changes are needed in fast succession. The Tevva Truck provides a natural transition into electrification for fleet managers, providing total peace of mind and a compelling total cost of ownership proposition, with no compromise on range and reliability and minimized compromise on payload."
