Terra Packaging Assumes a Simplistic Soil-Inspired Aesthetic

It can be a challenge to design containers for items that have their own intricate beauty and the example led by Terra packaging demonstrates how modesty and transparency work best to showcase charming contents. The simple cardboard sachets enclose smooth pebbles, delicate twigs and entangled clusters of mossy plants. The line of products allows Urban Outfitters consumers to mix and match different elements to build their own tiny terrariums.

Circular windows in the front of Terra packaging offer a peek of the fragile items inside, stacked into layers to mimic the strata of the earth. The stiff paper bags are otherwise pigmented with a burnt sienna tone which references the color of mineral-rich dirt. Holly Chong's Terra packaging is complete with brown paper labels that plainly brand the pouches with the name of the product.
