I’m extremely elated to have stumbled upon these Tang Yau Hoong illustrations as they’re super simplistic yet extremely creative in the ideas they toy with. What I’m speaking of specifically is Tang Yau Hoong’s play of light physics, making it bend and twist to his will in order to create images that are evocative of optical illusions more so than wall posters.
Tang Yau Hoong is a visual artist and graphic designer from Malaysia, and if these ingenious surrealistic images are any indication, I’m sure Hoong will have a bright illustrious career perplexing the people's eyes as well as their minds.
Implications - There is still a large demand for escapist media from consumers recovering from harsh economic times. As such, surrealistic imagery is quite popular among the general population. Corporations can capitalize on this popularity insurgence by utilizing surrealistic imagery in their advertising campaigns.
