Cleverly Cloaked Chairs

The Talma Lounge Chair by Benjamin Hubert Boasts a Bright Skeleton

The Talma Lounge Chair is appropriately named after a type of cloak. This is appropriate since in a way the seat itself is cloaked. What at first appears to be a traditional upholstery job is more of a seat cover. Slipping easily over a bright orange metal frame, the Talma Lounge Chair is able to switch between basic modern seat and a more cushiony compact armchair.

Designed by London-based designer Benjamin Hubert for Italian brand Moroso, the concept behind the Talma Lounge Chair has allowed it to reduce material, weight and cost that is associated with traditional construction of upholstered chairs. The custom-made textile, which boasts a subtly embossed pattern was created in collaboration with Innofa.
