West Village tearoom Té Company is a rare and unique space that features excellent food and a focused selection of meticulously sourced teas. While the menu initially drew attention for its Iberian-accented small plates, the tearoom is now offering Taiwanese-inspired options. The updated menu at Té Company was a decision made by chef Frederico Ribeiro and was implemented to better represent the tea list curated by his wife and business partner Elena Liao. New menu items include lu rou fan, spicy peanuts and preserved kumquats.
The food may be a definite reason to visit the space, but the appeal to stay comes from the amazing teas featured on the menu. All the teas are sourced from Taiwan and are carefully selected by Elena Liao and the team at Té Company. The tearoom currently offers extensive tasting experiences and also sells loose-leaf for home enjoyment.
