Over the course of a decade, award-winning photographer Jeffrey Milstein captured the symmetry in cities such as Los Angeles and New York. The aerial images display a stunning symmetrical aspect of urban planning that would easily go unnoticed without his birds eye view perspective. He was able to photograph the metropolises with the help of a helicopter. This includes an aerial shot of the Statue of Liberty, residential areas and green spaces. Milstein is also known for his work snapping aerial pictures of airports.
This photographic series illustrates how visually appealing it is to take in symmetry. In addition to the pure esthetic of if, the photography also demonstrates how the artistic concept can be used for smarter city planning.
