Ruiz Foods expanded its foodservice portfolio by adding new El Monterey Beef, Bean and Cheese Chimichangas, and new El Monterey Sweet Mini Chimis.
Designed to meet the growing demand for higher quality at an affordable price point, the new El Monterey options give foodservice operators both sweet and savory options. The new El Monterey Beef, Bean and Cheese Chimichangas consist of fried tortillas filled with seasoned beef, pinto beans cooked in flavorful Mexican spices, and a three-cheese blend (cheddar, Monterey Jack, and mozzarella). On the other hand, the El Monterey Sweet Mini Chimis are hot case-ready desserts that come in S’mores Cheesecake, Caramel Apple Cheesecake, and Raspberry Cheesecake varieties. Finally, there's also the new El Monterey Western Omelet Breakfast Burrito, which consists of a freshly baked tortilla filled with ham, eggs, and veggies.
