Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19, the medical supply chain for critical products has been pushed beyond capacity, leaving a global need for these life-saving goods. In response to the sudden and unprecedented need, consumer goods retailer NOMAD reprioritized its operations to produce medical supplies, such as face masks, to help those fighting this pandemic. In addition, the brand announced all the profits from these orders will be donated directly to fighting the spread of COVID-19.
NOMAD's is producing disposable 3-layer facemasks (also called isolation masks or medical procedure masks) that feature a >98% bacterial filtration efficiency. These masks are made from Polypropylene non-woven fabric and melt-blown filter and feature a nose strip. The brand announced its orders will be distributed based on priority, with medical professionals and first responders being the top priority and essential business employees following.
