Energy Drink-Branded Sodas

This Line of Super Sodas is Being Developed by an Energy Drink Brand

Coca-Cola's energy drink band Monster recently announced that it will be developing a line of super sodas under the name 'Mutant.' Although many consumers are cutting down on the amount of soft drinks they consume, there is still a high demand for the sweet, carbonated beverages. This new soda brand will serve as direct competition to PepsiCo's wildly popular Mountain Dew.

Set to launch in the latter half of 2016, the new line of super sodas will serve as a standalone range to the existing Monster collection. The new sodas will feature more caffeine than most mainstream soft drinks and they will bare the brand's famous claw mark design. The new drinks will also be branded with the tagline "refreshment energized," alluding to the drink's high caffeine content.

Designed to serve as a midway point between energy drinks and sodas, the Mutant beverages are likely to appeal to those who are already fans of Mountain Dew.
