The Stupa table and pendant light is a stunning set of furniture. It either looks like it was digitally modeled after a sound wave or somehow spun on a traditional pottery wheel. In reality, the table and lamp were formed on a lathe with cotton threads wrapped into the grooves. This technique has given the wood an organic aesthetic that revolves around seemingly random dips and curves.

Designed by Marcus Beck and Simon Macro of Freshwest Design, the Stupa table and pendant light was recently put on display at the Super Brands London design event during the London Design Festival. Capturing many people's attention, the matching furniture set is strikingly sculptural, which would add an artistic touch to any existing decor.
