Sonakshi Gupta designed the LightUP table concept, which is a dynamic wooden table that is inspired by the art of Origami. The table also functions as a lamp to boast various purposes -- it is influenced by the beauty and simplicity of folding paper into works of art.
The idea that a flat sheet of paper can be altered into a geometric flower or animal with a few folded structures is the idea that fuels the LightUP table. It also nods to kirigami, which aids the space-saving structure. The table has a square surface and it folds up into a flower bud shape to open up more space. To illuminate, there are wide LED light straps at the base of the table along the corners.
