Puma recently leveraged the Streaming Ad Insertion technology on the Spotify platform, in an effort to bolster the brand's ad recall. Spotify's Streaming Ad Insertion technology is able to produce data on a number of different factors including age, gender, ad impressions and more. The cross-sectional data provides brands with the necessary tools to optimize advertising efforts.
Puma was able to increase brand ad recall by a total of 180% through advertising on a podcast that was created by Spotify Studios. The podcast is titled 'Jemelle Hill is Unbothered,' and the ads were read by the host of the show.
Puma's success could entice other athletic brands, or organizations from different industries, to utilize the streaming service's ad technology.
