The StrangeLove Kit Defies Conventional Energy Drink Packaging

StrangeLove is a kit with everything needed to make an “organic energy elixir,” with packaging that goes against the ways energy drinks are typically packaged.

The promotional StrangeLove box was designed by Marx Design and instead of adopting loud colors, punchy graphics and claims of how “premium” the drink is, the Marx Design took an approach that makes the StrangeLove kit mysterious and intriguing. Marx Design notes that it wanted the design to be “like something you would find in an old encyclopedia or Ripley’s Believe It or Not,” as well as something you'd want to share with your friends.

The kit comes with one StrangeLove ginger beer, a bottle opener with a heart on one side and a rat on the other, metal straws, a deck of Tarot-style playing cards, promotional material and a cocktail straw.
