We've seen a host of strange vending machines before. There are machines that dish out bicycle parts, full salads and even MP3 players in water bottles, but this strange vending machine takes the cake. This vending machine dishes out crack pipes to consumers for the low, low price of 25 cents.
Aside from the fact that drugs like crack cocaine are explicitly illegal, the fact that the pipes are being sold in a vending machine (and at such a low price) is pretty insane. However, before jumping the gun, let's look at the reason why.
Portland Hospital Society, a group that helps homelessness in Vancouver, Canada, has created these vending machines to curb the spread of disease in drug users. While drugs are an obvious problem, it is true that they are used and these pipes allow users to use without fear of acquiring diseases.
