Vacuum-Packed Model Shoots

This Strange Runway Show Has Vacuum-Packed Models

Fashion is always pushing the boundaries and this strange runway show definitely does that. The show features work from Iris Van Herpen and there are models that are vacuum-packed, sealed in and displayed on stage.

Sometimes in fashion, the show takes over the clothes, and this is one of those cases. The French designer even said that it was hard to keep eyes on the actual clothes because of the success of the vacuumed models on stage.

The models seem frozen in time as they hold very reserved poses in the packaging. There was a question of discomfort and while the idea wasn’t dispelled, the models seem to feel it was worth it to get the desired effect. There were also tubes in the packaging that made it easy for the models to breath. It was a strange runway show but definitely memorable.
