Architecture firm Stilt Studios has designed a treehouse oasis in the heart of the Balinese artist's village, Penestanan. The wooden treehouse follows the firm's treehouse prototype C and is nestled in a richly foliated plot. The structural principle of Treehouse C consists of four vertical columns that suspend the structure above ground; stairs are located in the middle of the structure, while steel beams run across the floor plane to ensure ultimate durability.
The treehouse is divided into the kitchen, living, and bedroom, while the bathroom connects the areas. The treehouse is an intimate space and can accommodate two to four guests. The beauty of prototype C is that the structural elements are beneath the floor, which allows for uninterrupted views of the outdoors.
