NAMO Architecture works in collaboration with i29 Architects to create the Buitenverblijf Nest, which is a cabin elevated above ground in the treetops. It is meant to blend into the natural surroundings seamlessly, creating a tranquil escape for adventurers. The Buitenverblijf Nest is a holiday home that is meant to be a large birdhouse for humans, perched above the trees, and boasts aa sleek design.
It has three stories and a slim black base foundation made with sustainability at the forefront. The team uses only high-quality materials for a minimal theme and little impact on the environment. The installations of the home are fully electric and other contributions of a greener design include the highly insulated envelope and solar panels on the roof.
