Asda is Putting Stickers on Produce to Inspire Proposals

The stickers on produce are commonly changed to suit different promotional purposes, but Asda is taking a unique new approach to the labeling system with its 'Perfect for Proposal' stickers.

The new labeling system from the British supermarket retailer was implemented following a current movement on social media that sees Millennials proposing to one another using sliced avocados in place of ring boxes.

As such, the avocados that can now be found at select Asda locations are being marketed as the perfect ones to be integrated into a proposal in terms of several factors, including: color, complexion, cut and creaminess. Asda's Adrian Kurzynski describes that: “We want to help ready-to-propose customers find the perfect avocado to make loved ones say, 'I avocaDO.'"
