The 'Station to Station' Project Spreads Art One City at a Time

Chugging along from city to city, the 'Station to Station: A Nomadic Happening' project aims to spread culture across America. Conceived by seasoned artist Doug Aitken, the train will travel from New York City to San Fransisco while making stops along the way. At each stop, the train will feature different exhibits that feature projects in the realms of art, literature and film.

The Station to Station project was inspired by Aitken's ambitious mission to help artists from different disciplines collaborate. By providing an innovative space for creativity, the Aitken is providing creators with an opportunity to cross lines and experiment with different mediums. According to the adventurous artist, his "intention is to create a modern cultural manifesto."
